As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, don't forget that the submission date for the 2014 Fall Film Festival is quickly creeping up. Submissions are due Friday, December 5th at 10pm. Please place your work in the "2014 Fall Festival Submissions" folder on THOTH.

The Trip to Bountiful

Please join The Art of Film & Video and the Adelphi University Communications Department at the screening of, "The Trip to Bountiful."

"Carrie Watts (Page) is an elderly woman with a weak heart - but of strong determination. Trapped in a tiny apartment under the care of her cowardly son and his shrewish wife, Carrie is determined to escape and return to her girlhood home. Seizing her chance - and her meager Social Security check - Carrie sets out on an unforgettable quest to make peace with her past... and the secrets of her heart that draw her ever homeward."

The screening will be held in Blodgett Hall Room 108 at 6pm on Thursday, April 17th. Food and refreshments will be served! After the movie, please stay for a Q&A session with the Executive Producer, and our very own, Dean Sam Grogg.

The Romantic Film Festival

This spring semester, Works in Progress presents, "The Romantic Film Festival."

Anyone can submit a piece to the festival, just make sure it's romantic! You may submit any form of media, video, film, audio, artwork, etc. Please submit your work by Friday, March 28th at 4:00pm.

Whether you submit or not, please join us on April 2nd at 7:00pm in the PAC Black Box to celebrate The Romantic Film Festival. There will be an after-party with free food and refreshments.
