Communications Expo 2016 bring students job advice and resume help

Invited by the Communications Department and the Delphian, the Press Club of Long Island [PCLI] hosted a panel discussion regarding useful job tips and resume help on April 19th in Blodgett Hall. A full house of students were present to listen to the words of wisdom from professionals in their field.

Panelists for the day's event included former award-winning "Newsday" staff writer, Bill Bleyer, sports director and weeknight sports anchor for News 12 Long Island, Kevin Maher and digital strategist for Long Island Pulse Magazine, Bridget Shirvell.

The PCLI is the local professional chapter of the Society of Professional journalists (SPJ). Students who would like to become members of the PCLI can join the SPJ at SPJ.org and sign up for the PCLI after doing so.
