Comm Students Document 3D Printing

The current 3D printing display, which will be in the lobby of the Swirbul library until Friday, April 11, includes the video work of two Adelphi Communications Students. Chris Weihs and Andrew Hollis-Lima have created time-lapse videos of the 3D printing process, utilizing Studio 108 to add lighting and multiple camera techniques. Their videos can be seen on the display iPad that is part of the exhibit. Simply touch the screen and a menu will appear, allowing the user to choose one of three videos to view. Within the glass cases of the exhibit you can also see many of the 3D objects that have been created in the past few weeks and, if you are lucky, catch the printer itself as it pumps out a new object.

You can view the three movies by clicking here: Pegasus, Winged Victory, Hand.
